Deborah Sampson, AKA "Robert Shirtliffe"
Who could forget the impossibly brave Deborah Sampson? She dressed as a male soldier and renamed herself "Robert Shirtliffe." The wonderful Mr. Shirtliffe enlisted in the army and defeated a group of Indians at Fort Ticonderoga!
